Saul Marquez:
Hey everybody! Saul Marquez with the Outcomes Rocket. I want to welcome you back to the podcast. Today, I have the privilege of hosting Ken Ohlson with BluIp. We’re here at the Becker’s Health IT Conference. Ken, thanks for joining me today.
Ken Ohlson:
Thank you. Thanks for having us.
Saul Marquez:
Absolutely. Hey, let’s get things kicked off. Just help us understand a little bit more of what BluIp does and how you’re adding value to the healthcare ecosystem.
Ken Ohlson:
Sure, absolutely. So BluIP is a clone voice provider or actually an FCC-licensed carrier. So we do a lot of work for clients with their infrastructure, specifically their voice infrastructure. We’ve been in business 13 years now. More and more, we’re helping clients with conversational AI. So we’ve had an AI platform, a conversational AI platform, operating for seven years now. So we work in various verticals, but more and more these days in healthcare, and that’s exactly why we’re here. So what we’re trying to do is we’re trying to help clients make their infrastructures more efficient, find ways, look for efficiencies, using the technology not to be disruptive, but to be the thought of the matter, and to help reduce costs and point resources in the most efficient direction, as we can.
Saul Marquez:
Thank you, Ken. It sounds like a very useful service and technology platform. If you had to point to one insight that you picked up from Becker’s this year, what would you say it is?
Ken Ohlson:
You know, I think it might be kind of a tie between just the sheer amount of need that there is in terms of intelligent modernization. You know, there’s a lot of different ways to operate, a lot of options. What we’re trying to do is really just hone in on what we see as a really immediate need. There are contact centers. There’s, there’s workforce shortages. There’s sprawl, technology sprawl. I think BluIp can address all of those things with the, with our carrier network, with our voice infrastructure, and now with our conversational AI tools, we can help organizations, help their organizations really wrap their arms around their environments, simplify them, and make their workforce more productive and more focused.
Saul Marquez:
It sounds promising. And at a time when a lot of organizations are in need of these types of resources, what call to action would you leave our listeners and viewers with, and what’s the best place they can get in touch with you guys to learn more?
Ken Ohlson:
Well, I think a call to action, I just, I think that, you know, letting them know that AI is not as complicated and scary as it sounds. We all use AI today. If you have an Apple phone, you definitely know what Siri is. So voice is really sort of coming full circle, and I think more and more organizations are embracing it, and continue to embrace it, and look for cost-effective, reliable sources of not only information but services. And I think that’s, BluIp can be one of those sources. You can find us at www.B L U I P.com. Look for us on LinkedIn, BluIp. And we’re happy to help.
Saul Marquez:
Thank you, Ken. And folks, we will leave BluIp, BluIp’s contact information, as well as their website on our show notes. So make sure you check those out below. Ken, I just want to thank you for spending time with us. It was very insightful.
Ken Ohlson:
Thanks, Saul.
Saul Marquez:
And I hope you have a good rest of the meeting.
Ken Ohlson:
Alright. Appreciate it.
Saul Marquez:
