Saul Marquez:
Hey everybody, welcome back to the Outcomes Racket, Saul Marquez here. Today, I have the amazing Kyle Wildnauer-Haigney on the podcast. Say, what’s up, Kyle?
Kyle Wildnauer-Haigney:
Hey, everyone! He is a familiar voice. If you haven’t listened to his episode, it’s Episode 687 Behavioral Economic-Based Incentives in the Pharmaceutical Value Chain. Today, I have an exciting announcement. Kyle is joining the Outcomes Rocket as the co-founder of the Outcomes Rocket Pharma Podcast. I am excited, first of all, to be welcoming him to the podcast as your host of the Pharma podcast at Outcomes Rocket, but also really, really excited to be diving deeper into the area of pharma and the guests that we host on the podcast. And Kyle’s going to be your man for it. So what I want to do today is just give you another intro to Kyle so that you could get to know him better as your host of the Outcomes Rocket Pharma Podcast, but also so you could learn more about what you should expect about that one. It’ll all be available here through the Outcomes Rocket so you don’t have to do anything differently. And so the exciting part is that Kyle’s going to help us get deeper and broader with pharma. So, Kyle, welcome back to the podcast as co-host.
Kyle Wildnauer-Haigney:
Thank you so much. So I’m really excited to kick things off here with the pharmaceutical podcast.
Saul Marquez:
Yeah. And so we’re excited to have you as well. So really, we hit it off, right? I mean, we did the podcast. I was really impressed with you and the work that you’re doing in health care and your deep knowledge of the industry in pharma in particular. So I asked you, hey, would this be of interest to you? And you said yes. So tell our listeners why you decided to do it and a little bit more about you.
Kyle Wildnauer-Haigney:
Of course. Of course. And thank you for that introduction. I mean, I’ve spent the last seven plus years in the pharmaceutical value chain and really just fascinated by all the complexity and the opportunity for change in it. And currently we’re going through this vast transformation. I’m really looking at this podcast as an opportunity to further explore some of the interesting dynamics that are going on in the industry, get to know some thought leaders across health plans, PBMs, pharmaceutical manufacturers and how they articulate the problem and also the solution to some of the challenges that we’re facing today. So very excited to be exploring and learning alongside the audience and kind of leading to this podcast. It will be about one or two episodes per week. That’s what we’re going to be shooting for, 20 to 30 minutes in length. And I hope at the end of each one of those episodes, you not only learn something very interesting about the pharmaceutical value chain, but you also get to meet a really innovative leader in the space and understand why they do what they do.
Saul Marquez:
Well, that’s exciting. Thinking about the broad set of leaders that we’ve had. I’m excited for this deep dive in pharma with you, Kyle, and so I’ll definitely be tuning in. Tell us about the guests. Who do you plan on having and tell us more about their backgrounds and what your thoughts are there.
Kyle Wildnauer-Haigney:
Yeah, happy to. So, you know, I really think we’ll first kind of start focusing on insurance providers and the chief pharmacy officers or pharmacy leaders within those large health plans across the US, really understanding how they look at pharmacy, not just in the context of pharmacy, but in the broader health care ecosystem. We’ll also be focusing in on some of the leaders at pharmaceutical manufacturers, whether it’s within the market access team, the brand teams, kind of focused around the patient support programs and then finally the PBM space and hopefully some pharmacies themselves and wholesalers. I think that will round out kind of a holistic view of the industry to really understand how the industry’s changing today and what does tomorrow look like.
Saul Marquez:
I love it. Put me in that rocket, Kyle. I want to accelerate my knowledge on this and with us as the pilot of that. And so I’m truly excited. Folks, I hope you are, too, for this amazing opportunity to sharpen up our saw in our pharma knowledge and really take it to the next level. As Kyle said, one, the two episodes per week, the topics are going to be hyper-focused. It will all live under the Outcomes Rocket. You’ll be able to access it the same way. The show notes will be where you’re used to. So no changes there. Just a little bit of more focus content for you. Kyle, what caused the action would you leave the listeners with.
Kyle Wildnauer-Haigney:
Yeah, great question. So of course, tune in, listen to the interviews. If you are interested in being a guest on the podcast, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me on LinkedIn. I’d be happy to host you. And also if there are areas that you would like us to focus on whether it’s within the PBM space or wholesaler’s happy to kind of take those questions and guidance from the audience as well. I mean, ultimately, I want to make this not only interesting for myself so I can learn a lot about the industry, but I also want to make this a really dynamic and good listen for the audience.
Saul Marquez:
Outstanding. So there you have it folks. Reach out if you feel like you fit the profile of the guests that we’re going to have on, reach out to Kyle on LinkedIn or reach out to scheduling@outcomesrocket.com so that we could get you on this amazing new podcast. Kyle. I’m super excited for this and really looking forward to having you as a co-host here for the Outcomes Rocket Pharma Podcast.
