Greg Pursley:
Absolutely. Thanks for having me, I appreciate it.

Saul Marquez:
Absolutely. So look, BS, Belief Systems, healthcare. You’re in it all, very relevant to our listeners. Talk to us about what inspired your work in business and in healthcare.

Greg Pursley:
Yeah, I’ll give you the quick overview and history of me and how I am, how I came to be, but in 2006, I graduated as a chiropractor. I was a chiropractic physician. I graduated at 23 and thought I knew the direction my life was headed, and my wife and I moved and created a practice, we had a daughter, and within a couple of years, we were pretty successful, and we were about to have a son. Well, our son was born, and he was born with dwarfism, and random genetic change, 80% of kids born with dwarfism have no family history. And so we took the direction we were headed, and it totally shifted us in a new direction. Now, we thought that that was going to be the end of the confusion in our life or the struggle in our life, like, oh, this is this new thing. We got to figure it out. Well, then, he started to have a lot of medical issues with his lungs. Within one year, he had spent six months in a children’s hospital, which was two hours away from our hometown. Now, our business was two years old, so I had to be there trying to support and create income for the family. My wife’s with my son, my daughter’s being passed around. So if you think about all, any of the stresses that you could deal with, we went through all of them, you know, relationship, career, business, finance, health, faith, belief, like anything you can imagine stress-wise, we were there. For eight years, he ended up having a trach and vent that helped him breathe. So for eight years, he was considered full life support. Okay, so imagine what we did. Our family had to focus on keeping him alive and keeping the family together, which meant I was in a very reactive state for eight years. I made decisions based on reactive emotions, not emotions that are more about growth and abundance. It was more; how do I get through today? How do I get through right now? So when he got better in 2018, I had a moment of clarity where I went, can I keep doing what I’m doing the way I’m doing it the rest of my life? You know, my wife and I’s relationship hadn’t been great because we were focused on him, our business career, money, like it was all it was all a mess, and so, at that moment, I had a decision. I was like, no, I am going to take responsibility, and we are going to start moving in a new direction. Within two years, we made some decisions that I’ll go into further if you’d like, but it was all about how do we invest in ourselves, and take responsibility, and move forward. And within a couple of years, we had changed my chiropractic practice, which was doing a few hundred thousand dollars a year and barely really profitable, into an integrated medical regenerative medicine practice, which offers REGEN, chiro, bracing, rehab, and it’s doing over $2 million a year. Not only that, in the process, I took the five steps that I realized that people have to go through in order to create the life they want to create in five major areas, and that’s where Fix Your Belief Systems came from. So my transformation from 2018 till now, I took that and put it into a book and said, here’s the five steps I took to generate the five major pillars of life and play those at a high level so I can be more content and fulfilled and happy. And so there’s the overview of where I came from and where I’m at right now.

Saul Marquez:
Well, listen, man, congratulations. Very difficult time that you guys have dealt with. And look, you’ve made it through it, and it’s a mindset. So talk to us a little bit about that mindset and the approach that you offer. How is it different than what’s out there, and how can it help the healthcare leaders listening to today’s podcast?

Greg Pursley:
Absolutely. So what’s interesting is the more people I’ve learned from and the more exposure I have to different perspectives from people that are really successful and people that have really done great work in this field, is that the principles don’t change. The principles are the exact same for every single one of them. It’s the wrapping paper that’s a little different. The story that’s behind it, the where the person came from, that’s behind it. So when you say what’s different, the difference is my story and my delivery method, my perspective, but the principles are the exact same because we all come from the same place, and that’s why the principles don’t change. You don’t plant an acorn and get a different what comes from an acorn, a maple, not a maple.

Saul Marquez:
An oak tree?

Greg Pursley:
An oak, there you go. You don’t plant an acorn and get anything other than an oak, and that’s the same thing. So like the principles are the same for each and every person. There is no major difference between what I do in this field and what other people do, other than it’s an interesting story and it’s a different perspective of how I got there.

Saul Marquez:
Listen. I appreciate that. So let’s talk about the principles. What are the principles, and how could we employ them?

Greg Pursley:
Well, I go a lot into and when I talk about these things into the conscious and subconscious mind, which are very buzzwords right now, conscious mind, subconscious mind, manifest. The secret came out in the early 2000s, and that was huge. And people think they can just think about something and they’re going to get this result, and that’s not really the way it works. So the overview is, simply, is this. Your subconscious mind is the automatic pilot that you have in your body, it’s the habits that you have that you don’t have to think about. Think about the first time you got into a car. You really had to focus on everything in the car. There was all these buttons and knobs and your pedals and everything. Well, if you you repeated the action enough times where it became habit, it became your subconscious. You don’t have to think about it. It’s just automatic. Well, we have these things throughout our life, these experience that create beliefs, and those beliefs create our automatic habits. And if you’re not aware of them, if you don’t pay attention to them, it just happens automatically. I’ve seen stats that say over 95% of our actions are strictly because of our habits. The question is, well, if you don’t like where you’re at currently in life in major areas, if it’s your money or your business, or your career, or your relationships, or your health, or your belief or faith, if you don’t like where you’re at in those things, then we have to change the habits that you have. Now, how do you do that? You get into the conscious mind. The conscious mind is, simply put, if you can create a vision of what you want and you repeat that vision enough times with enough emotion, you can tell your subconscious mind where you want to go, and the subconscious mind, like an antenna, will start saying, oh well, it’ll guide you. So the idea is pretty simple. It’s create a vision of what you want, know why you want that vision, or create the emotion from that vision and number. The second part is take action toward it every single day, but the third part is really the hard part for people. And the third part is, eliminate the control of how it’s going to occur. That’s where intuition actually comes from. Eliminate the control that you feel of having to control the universe or situations, and go through the intuition and really learn what that feels like. So you go, you know, I feel like I need to call this person, I feel like I need to text this, I feel like I need to go to this event, I feel like whatever, and that’s your subconscious mind guiding you. I feel like I need to go over there and talk to that guy and go do it. There’s a reason. Go do it. Just take action. And yeah, just throw that caution, that fear. Well, what if I’m wrong? And what if that person doesn’t like me? And what if all this nonsense, it’s fear. It’s fear of the unknown. Well, everything we do the first time we do it is unknown. When you were a kid, you didn’t care; now you care, get rid of that, stop caring. Create a vision of what you want, take action every day. Number three, eliminate the control, the desire to control. And so, there’s some great people doing great work in this field. Dr. Joe Dispenza is a really a great guy who’s doing amazing work in this field where he’s actually mapped this out. They’ve done MRIs before and after. The mind can create. Whatever it can envision, you can create.

Saul Marquez:
I’m a believer in this. I think anything, I mean everything that I’ve been able to create in my life has been a result of what you’ve just outlined. I just didn’t know, kind of like the steps, but it’s so true. You get your vision put together, you put it on paper, you put it out there, you work toward it every single day. This third piece, and actually, I was talking to a good customer of mine and a friend, Ed, and he was like, man, this, this concept of control, you just got to let it go, because it’s an illusion. And the minute you let it go, you flow, and you start to find ways to just kind of like, you know, just do really well.

Greg Pursley:
You’re exactly right. And people talk about this law of attraction, this vibrational law. You know, what the vibration you put out there is going to attract. Well, the problem is that people also reject. They might be at the vibrational level, but they also have these beliefs that reject the things that are trying to get to them, meaning, if you have that intuition to go speak to that person and you reject that, because you’re like, oh, I’m scared, you might be trying to attract the thing that you need, the one relationship that you need to develop, and you are rejecting it because you’re saying, well, it’s not meant to be, or I don’t want to go talk to that guy, or I don’t feel like it. It doesn’t matter, man. That’s the intuition part. That’s the universe trying to give you what you’re asking for. So it really, these are the principles that I’m talking about. You’re exactly right. They don’t change. You just have to learn to use them properly in order to generate what you want to generate in your life. But what I’ve found is working with people, and we do challenges in the Fix Your BS World, Fix Your Belief Systems World. We do challenges, five-day challenges where we go over individual pillars each and every day. We spend an hour on each one so you can have actionable tasks. So where you can start to actually put these things into play and create the life you want to create, which is literally what I did since 2018 to now, I am a totally different person, and my life is way different in just that short period of time, and it’s more enjoyable. I enjoy getting out of bed, and it’s more fun, but my point is that all you have to do is understand how these principles work and use them to your advantage, but most people don’t even know what they actually want. There’s this biblical phrase, know thyself, right? Know thyself, right? Most people don’t know who they are or what they even want. So how can you create a map to get to where you want if it’s very vague? I want to go somewhere that’s sunshiny and has a beach. Well, that’s vague, like that’s what people do. I want more money. I want a better career. I want a better business. I want to make more of an impact. What is that like? How do you define that? Make it clear. Once you make it clear, like you said, you can write it out. That’s like sending it out into the universe and saying, I’m going to take action toward this thing, and I’m only going to focus on this thing. So show me how to get there, and I trust that you’re going to do that. That’s literally the process right there. That’s a million-plus dollars worth of information in that little segment. People need to take note. Do that.

Saul Marquez:
Hey, I’m with you 100%. I couldn’t agree more. The other one I like is without a vision, people perish. Like you need your targets, folks, and I love this reminder today that we’re getting from Dr. G, because it is super powerful and it’s so basic that sometimes we could forget it. Sometimes we get lost in the minutia of our business, or the stress of the quarter that we forget the basics. So then, with Fix Your BS, like so tell us about the things that you offer there. If this is resonating with the listeners, what do you offer that they could consider working with you on? Tell us more about that.

Greg Pursley:
Well, first of all, the first thing I tell people to do is join one of our challenges because I’m all about adding value. It’s five days. It’s, they’re like $9. Just, we just want you to show up. The reason why we charge $9 is because it gets people to actually show up. For whatever reason, if it’s free, they’re like, oh, it’s free, but $9, they’ll show up, and they’ll actually do something. But the point is that if you ever heard of the four A’s, you have to become aware, you have to acknowledge, you have to accept, and then you have to take action, okay? If you’re not even aware that you are on autopilot and that you are heading in the wrong direction because you’re not really clear on your vision, if you’re not even aware of that, then you can’t even begin to acknowledge the fact that maybe you’re headed in the wrong direction, and it’s okay. It doesn’t mean, like your past and where you currently are does not dictate the future that you can create. If you look at my past and where I was and all the things we went through, I mean, we leveraged everything. We’ve been through financials, we’ve been through the how do we get through today, we’ve been through, you know, life and death literally with our son. And it’s like that all could have turned into woe is me, and I’m just not meant to be great or whatever, and it didn’t. I turned it into, you know what? That’s a compelling story that will help people understand that it could be worse, and maybe your life can be better into the future, and you can create that. It just takes very simple principles and steps. Now, that being said, we do have masterminds, especially in the, if people own a business, we have a specific business mastermind, but masterminds are really like accountability groups to where we can teach, but we can also set very simple tasks for the week that you set, and then you can come back with the results that you received so you’re paying attention to the results, so then you can change course. I always call it the airplane. You know, you’re on a plane, you’re headed towards a destination, and every now and then, you have to make a little bit of a tweak. But if you don’t make the tweak and you forget or not paying attention to it, you end up going in a new direction for years sometimes, and then you end up in a totally different destination that you didn’t want in the first place. So we help people with that. I do work with people one-on-one, but ultimately, my favorite is what we call the round table. The round table is for the high-end people that want to learn from other high-end people, that want to have the highest accountability and build and take responsibility for building their life and what that looks like. But I always tell everybody, start with the challenge. You can learn who I am, what I’m about, why I’m doing what I’m doing, and you can actually start improving your life just by doing that for nine bucks, and that’s really going to teach you the basics of what you need. From there, if you go, oh yeah, I like this guy. I think I know what he’s doing, I think he knows what he’s doing, and I want to work with him. Then, yeah, you can join one of our other programs, but I’m not here to sell millions and millions of dollars of programs. I’m here to help millions and millions of people. And then guess what happens? Millions and millions of dollars just happen to come in. So if you’re somebody that’s, man, you know, this makes sense. Join one of our challenges, and you know you’ll have the link there that they can that they can click on.

Saul Marquez:
Yeah, that’s great. FixYourBS.com. Ladies and gentlemen, Dr. G in the house to prescribe some behavior changes to us all. So certainly, as I always say, make sure you don’t just stop at listening, right? Outcomes begin when you take action. So get in your rocket, take some action on what you heard today. Definitely a fantastic resource with Dr. G. I can’t thank you enough for being with us today.

Greg Pursley:
Yeah, well, thanks for having me; I appreciate it. I hope we’ll see a bunch of people on one of our challenges. We do them every couple of weeks, but it’s an absolute honor, and I’m very grateful that I’m able to serve people. And gratitude, I didn’t talk about that, but gratitude, even if it’s, if you’re experiencing something you don’t want to experience, if you’re constantly moving towards your vision and something happens, it doesn’t mean it’s bad. It just means it’s uncomfortable. So have gratitude for that thing. Be like, what is this trying to teach me? I’m really appreciative that I’m going through this because it’s making become, me become the person I need to become to get the vision or the outcome that I’m looking for. And what’s funny is, is that you cast your vision, and a lot of times, there’s something even greater than what you think you wanted in the first place that’s available or awaiting you. So gratitude, man, practice that. That’s all I can say. And I hope to see a ton of people in one of our challenges because we do really make differences in people’s lives by doing that.

Saul Marquez:
I love it. Dr. G, Thank you. Folks, again, a reminder, FixYourBS.com. That’s a hard one to forget, but we’ll also leave it in the show notes. So, Dr. G, I appreciate you being with us today.
