Saul Marquez:
Hey everybody, Saul Marquez with the Outcomes Rocket. So glad you tuned in today. I am so excited because today is a very special day. We are actually launching a brand new podcast on the Outcomes Rocket Network and it is called Marketing Mondays. And today I’m going to introduce you to a very special and amazing leader in healthcare, her name is Andreea Borcea. She’s a fractional CMO that is helping startups, small and medium-sized businesses organize, strategize, and optimize their marketing efforts with more than 20 plus years of experience under her belt. She’s worked on marketing in a variety of verticals, including healthcare, retail, direct-consumer, and commerce. She runs her own marketing agency called DIA Creative, that specializes in email marketing, social media, content creation, everything that you could think about. She’s joining Outcomes Rocket as the host of this podcast and really to give leaders like you a unique avenue for thought leadership and recognition in the health and wellness marketing space. Andreea, such a pleasure to have you on!

Andreea Borcea:
Thanks. I’m super excited! I love listening to the podcast and I’m excited to be a part of the network!

Saul Marquez:
Hey, you know what? We’re so excited to welcome you here, Andreea. You’re just such a talented person, and actually, I found out that Andreea was actually a speech and debate nerd just like me.

Andreea Borcea:
That’s why we all end up on podcast, right?

Saul Marquez:
I love that about you. So tell us. Did I leave anything out on your bio that maybe you want to share?

Andreea Borcea:
No. I mean, I think that’s pretty straightforward. I’ve been, I moved into a fractional CMO role about six years ago, really being able to extend what impact I can make for startups and small to medium-sized businesses that can’t afford a full-time CMO. This lets me help multiple businesses and learn from different verticals and channels to support each other, and it’s helped us be really innovative, so I appreciate that. And then out of that fractional CMO role, the agency was born because I needed to have a professional set of experts to support all the initiatives we were coming up with. And now, now we’re going to do a podcast!

Saul Marquez:
Amazing. Well, I’m super excited about it. So why don’t we kick it off with helping the listeners know a little bit more about the podcast and what they should expect from the podcast?

Andreea Borcea:
Sure. I’m, I really wanted to focus on healthcare marketing for Marketing Mondays, and I felt like that’s why we were really aligned. Marketing is a beast, it’s this massive thing, there’s a million different ways you can market to people. But healthcare is really unique in the sense of it’s our health, it’s not me selling another pair of sunglasses or even, you know, just like any sort of software as a service or B2B like, it’s very unique because healthcare is a very personal thing. So how do you market ethically? How do you market to build trust? How do you message to people so that they know that what you’re saying will actually help them achieve the outcomes they’re looking for? And that’s true if you’re an individual looking for healthcare solutions or health and wellness solutions, which will be some of our guests all the way to, if you are a platform for electronic health records and you’re trying to build trust with doctors and hospital admins and larger networks around the world, all of it comes back to trust, stability, security and the outcomes essentially.

Saul Marquez:
Love that. Yeah, and there’s so much that we don’t know about marketing. And so when you and I got to talking, and the idea was born, it just made so much sense to be able to have it here, have it be this reliable Monday podcast that everybody gets to listen to every Mondays. What about the things that you’ll cover? Do you think are going to be unique and different than what else is out there?

Andreea Borcea:
That’s a great question. I think a lot of the healthcare space is innovators and professionals, scientists, researchers, physicians, nurses, etc, there’s not as many people in marketing there. And so what I really want to do is expand everyone’s purview, regardless of what profession you are in, in the health and wellness space, to understand how marketing should be part of everything you’re considering doing from beginning to end, how do you extend out into reaching your marketplace? Because you might have invented something that’s absolutely amazing and impactful and will save millions of lives. But if you don’t know how to communicate it effectively, then I’m sorry you spent millions of dollars trying to make this thing, but it’s not going to go anywhere. So it really from beginning to end and throughout your journey, we really need to explore. How do you uniquely market something in this space? How do you identify your audience, especially when your audience could be highly educated, highly specialized? They have their own concepts and ideas of what is marketing, what it should be, how they want a message. And they’re getting hit constantly because healthcare is exploding right now. There are so many startups now and new businesses and new technologies and healthcare every day. How do you stand out when everybody is trying to do the exact same thing? And so I think that’s really what we’ll be exploring, talking to very experienced marketing professionals, talking to innovative CEOs that had to bootstrap their way into marketing their own items, exploring channels and verticals, execution, messaging, retention, all the aspects of marketing that you need to be considering from beginning to end.

Saul Marquez:
That’s amazing. As somebody trying to grow their business, you should be looking at this as wow, like in one podcast, I could take away one idea and all it takes is one idea to take your business to the next level. This is it, guys. This is, this is what you want to be listening to. And the way that that we’re going to cover it is going to be fun and interactive. So, Andreea, you used to have your own podcast, didn’t you?

Andreea Borcea:
I did, yeah. I’m a techie nerd, I’m a speech and debate nerd, I’m a marketing nerd. I love all these things. Yeah, I used to have a podcast on the Internet of Things and trying to stay on the cutting edge of the latest technological breakthroughs. And we had some amazing guests on there. We talked to some NASA engineers and Lockheed Martin and G.E. and it was a lot of fun. And so I think I was bit by the podcasting bug then and now I’m really excited to have really interesting conversations with other marketing professionals. I highly believe that you are never, you never stop learning. You always need to be learning, and marketing is changing all the time and life is changing all the time. So I’m just, I love having conversations with super smart people and sharing that with audiences like you.

Saul Marquez:
I love it. Well, Andreea, we’re super excited to have you on, Marketing Mondays is here to stay, folks, so make sure you tune in. This is the last time Andreea will be here as a guest, moving forward she will be your host of Marketing Mondays. Andreea, any closing thoughts for the listeners here before we part?

Andreea Borcea:
I would love if listeners knew somebody that they wanted to hear from, someone that they really wanted to learn from or explore. I have no problem, as you’ll probably notice, digging in deep to marketing and finding out people’s deep secrets of how they got to where they are, and, so if anyone really wants to hear somebody’s origin story or how they pulled off some amazing marketing initiative, let us know. And we’re happy to reach out and make it into a really fun episode.

Saul Marquez:
I love that. And folks, for that feedback, go ahead and either leave your comments. Who do you want to hear from? Give us a challenge. We want to hear a challenge. Give us …..

Andreea Borcea:
Yeah, yeah. I love it.

Saul Marquez:
So give us a comment or email. Andreea, which, Andreea, where should they email you?

Andreea Borcea:
So the best place to email me is success@Diacreative.com. So S U C C E S S @ D I A creative.com, and absolutely, looking forward to even your best challenges. Let’s get some really cool guests on here.

Saul Marquez:
Let’s do this, guys. Andreea, so glad you’re with us. Welcome!

Andreea Borcea:
Thanks. Happy to be here.
